Ceramic Classes

Weekly On-Going Classes

Classes are every Monday andWednesdays from 5-8pm.

Description

This class is geared for anyone with little or no clay experience! Classes are in-person and on-going, with 3 hours of guided instruction each week. Classes continue throughout the year and sign-up is on a rolling basis- you can sign-up any time. Ceramics classes are mixed level and cover wheel throwing, hand building, sculpting, and glazing.

I will teach you everything needed in order to transform clay through the different stages of the ceramic making process.  I will guide you every step of the way, using all the tools and techniques needed to create wheel thrown and hand-built pottery. Learn how to make bowls, vases, planters, mugs, plates, and more, all by hand! Students will learn throwing, coil, pinch, slab, and mold building techniques while working one-on-one with me. I will teach you how to design and glaze your pieces, and you’ll be able to take home and use everything you make once your pieces have been glazed and fired.

All the materials and basic tools are provided but if you require specialized tools feel free to bring your own, bring your willingness to take chances, make mistakes, and get messy!

If you are an advanced ceramic practitioner and just need a little guidance every now and then, this class is also suitable for you.
